Christopher Dworin, a California native, has been working with clay for the last 20+ years, building on a lifelong study of art and architecture. Christopher is constantly exploring the potential of clay and glaze materials in his sculpture and functional work. He continually pushes to the edges of clay’s ability to defy gravity, define space, and live outside of time.
Christopher’s sculptural works include figurative torsos that begin as wheel-thrown cylinders, abstract forms exploring the botanical world, and ceramic landscapes in a series inspired by California’s counties. Christopher also has made a deep exploration of functional pottery, including geometrically-influenced bottles, carafes, and minimalist tea pots. All of his functional ceramics are one-of-a-kind, created as sculptural objects.
Christopher has developed a number of innovative throwing, decorating, and glazing techniques (featured in Making Marks: Discovering the Ceramic Surface, by Robin Hopper – published by Krause in 2004). He continues to make experimentation an everyday part of his art.

Make + Believe
Megan Schiller is an artist, designer, mama, and early childhood educator. I began my career as a jewelry designer and preschool teacher and eventually merged the two worlds to teach art to young children. Almost 2 years ago I began teaching art to toddlers in my studio, inspired by the work of artists and educators in the preschools of Reggio Emilia, Italy. This experience has proven to be a great adventure and deeply rewarding. As I continue teaching I will also be running my online shop for children’s creative products and welcoming a new addition to our little family in the spring!
